JACKSON / RICHARDSON
« on: Tuesday 25 August 09 10:13 BST (UK) »
Hi All,
I have returned to the forum after many years away. Although I have not been active, my JACKSON Brickwall is still standing!
I have John JACKSON born 1741 Oughterside Married to Ann RICHARDSON Born 1745 Oughterside 16th October 1766.
Children were:John born 1768 and Thomas born 1770.
I am descended from Thomas who married Mary NICHOLSON born 1767 on 11th Aug 1793.
They had seven children, Joseph 1795, William (my ancestor) 1798,Thomas 1800, Mary 1802, John 1805, James 1808 and Jane 1812.
I would like to know if I have John and Ann correct, and if anyone has any tree linking to my JACKSON's. I would like to trace further back from John and Ann, but I also appreciate this may be difficult. Has been for the past ten years!!!

Kind regards
Jeff Jackson in Poole Dorset.

Jeff - Hope you are the one I have been trying for ages to track down!  think we may share a common ancestor - Thomas Kipling Jackson?  If you are the one then I was given your name by Nick Michael.    I am trying to establish that my Great Grandfather Henry Charles Jackson is the son of Thomas.  If he is we are possibly related!
Look forward to a reply from you - Lesley

Forgive me for pointing out that you have a marriage - and only a marriage.  The other stuff arises from the following assumptions-

1) people always married in the place they were born;
2) men married at age 25;
3) women married at age 21.

I would have thought that Grace 1773 was also probably one of their children.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

Hi Lesley!!!
At last! Someone who may be related to Thomas Kipling JACKSON!
I contacted Nick Michael about seven years ago, some how I knew sooner or later we would find some more connections.
