HI All.

There is another topic saying that today there will be an event
and book to purchase of Harlestone War Memorial.

It is between 2 to 4 at the Village Hall.

Just arrived home from getting my book with a personal
inscription by the Author.   :)

Shame it said Harlestone Village Institute and not where it was.

As my hubby and I have lived in Northants all our lives, I was not even
aware it was in Upper Harlestone so had to call at The Fox and Hounds
in Lower Harlestone to get directions from the Landlord.   :)

Lots of folk attended.

Just image if it wasn't for Rootschat I would never have known and only
have been able to get a copy without the author's signature at the Library. :)

Now for some reading.

As we approach 11 November I thought I would put this information out again for others who are interested to see. The original was among my  late fathers effects ( SQMS Green)

I have seen them on Alan's web site.

Greatly appreciated.

In the spirit of remembrance I thought now would be the right time to add these photos and documents from my small collection

The attached picture is of a memorial to the residents of Albert Place in Peterborough. It has been repositioned in the Rivergate shopping centre.

It features George Hasdell and there is a memorial in the Cathedral to his brother, Thomas Eggberrie Hasdell, who died in the Boer War.

Some of the other names might be of interest.
