Hope someone can help me, I am looking for the maiden name of Susan, wife of John Saich she was born 1814 Hatfield Broad Oak, Essex and died 1860, together they had 8 children.

Do you know if Susan married in Hatfield Broad Oak?  If there is a chance she did, another avenue, in addition to the suggestion from behind the frogs, would be a check in the printed transcripts of H B O parish marriage registers.  They are in book form on a shelf at the Essex Records Office, unfortunately it only gives the year and the names of the bride and groom but if Susan married in HBO at least you will have her maiden name.  If you can't get there yourself perhaps request on the Essex Lookup requests might find a kind soul willing to look for you, it wouldn't take long to check.

It would be great if the HBO church deposited their PRs with the ERO, long overdue!  8)

I have a Susan Barrick (1814-1861) as first wife of my GGG Grandfather John Saich - Great dunmow area
