The cheapest way to get cert's b. m. d. is to go to www.bmdshare.com clangerclaridge.
GRO v Local Boo wrote "..... GRO photocopy the original entry onto the certificate.... " There is only one original entry and that never leaves it's home Register Office. As we know, all England/Wales ROs forwarded copies of BMD events quarterly to GRO. GRO then copied the info into it's own volumes, with it's own filing references.A "copy" certificate from GRO looks "appropriate" copied onto the format of the original register. But it still just a copy of a copy.GRO never even got to see the original entry in the orginal register. Many local ROs do indeed today just copy by typewriting or handwriting the details from the register onto a formatted copy cert.
