I dont have enough posts on Rootschat to reply directly to your pm, so I have to do it this way. While I was googling rudge/tring, I came across a dance website that is owned by a Tony and Yvonne Rudge in the Tring area. I sent an email to them to see if they know of any Rudges in that area that have worked on their family trees. Who knows, maybe gggrandfather Williams brother Samuel Edward left some Rudges in that area? Although, from the census records, it looks like the family moved to the London area after Johns death.
