Scottish Marriage - 1942/1949 Completed

Can anyone point me to any sites  where I could find out the date and year of the Marriage between a Mr. Peter Alison McLaren:-

Born:- 17th April 1906 in the Parish of Kilmarnock. Perth. Scotland,  Died:- 1967 Dartford. Kent. England -   and  Miss. Ellen Alice May Wigmore

Born:- 3rd December 1913 in Registration District of Newbury, County of Berkshire
Died:-  6th December 2002 in Registration District of Canteburym County of Kent

Any pointers would be appreciated to finalise the last piece in the jigsaw - thanking you all

Hi Annamay,
If you suspect that the marriage was in Scotland between 1942/1949, you would either have to order the certificate from The General Register Office for Scotland, Office  HERE (which would probably cost in excess of £13, as a search would have to be conducted) or a cheaper option would be a transcription which could be done by the Scotfamtree website, who visit the records office approx 4 times per year. The transcription would only be a few £s. They specialise in all Scottish genealogy. (You'll have to register first)

The GRO index is definately WILKINS.

I would like to thank both the 'Domestic Goddess' and Andycand  for their help in my quest re above.  It would appear that you have hit the nail on the head with your GRO reference Andycand and we have sent for the Marriage Certificate am waiting with baited breath now!!
