You're right about it been a long slog! I've got English and Scots roots so I'm going back and forth.  I know quite a few of mine emigrated to Aus, US and Canada.   It's expensive too with all the different sites.  Thank goodness for these free ones - they help a lot.  I'll let you know if I come across anything useful for you.  Don't worry about the smelling pistakes!!!  Take care.

Just to make you smile!  Well must go do some ironing >:(  it's cold and wet here.  Just come back from beach with dog so might have to have coffee first - any excuse not to do ironing

Hi  It would be great if you could help me find the death of Robert Smith he is in the 1841 census in maybole aged 35, by the 1851 census his wife Agnes is remarried to Mains collins and she has a 4 year old by robert so he has to have died after 1846 and before 1851      thankyou

Hi jancal
Thanks for the info on Maggie & Olive McKie - it was interesting as I do not have much info on them.  They are my grandfather's sisters.  Do you know if they had children?  Or do you have any info on their other brothers John & James.
Thanks again
Suejay
