Hello from the U.S.A.  I am research a maternal family line; the family of William and Loveda Alcock Barrington who were "Scotch-Irish" Methodist tenant famers in or near Rosetown (now called Naas), County Kildare.
This is what I know: 
William H. Barrington, b. 16 June 1795 (or 6 Jun 1795) 
Circa 1816, he married Loveda (or maybe Loveday) Alcock, who died before 1840
Children:

* George, b: 16 Jul 1824, Ireland; d: 4 Jun 1863 (drowned while serving in the Grand Army of the Republic in the War Between the States, buried in 
Oklahoma)
* Elizabeth, b: 12 Jan 1826, Ireland; d: 18 Aug 1889, Appleton, Wisconsin, In Ireland, she married John Dillon, b: 17 May 1792, Ireland, d: 16 Oct 1874, 
Appleton, Wisconsin
* Margaret, b: 8 Dec 1829, Ireland; d: 6 April 1915, Wisconsin; She married James Jackson, b: 1816, Ireland, d:  4 April 1884, Wisconsin
* Mary Ann, b: 16 June 1831, Ireland; d: 15 Aug 1919, Wisconsin; She married Arron Hyatt, b: 1823, New York, d: 17 June 1890, Wisconsin
* Benjamin, born: 1832, Ireland
* William Henry, Jr. b: 11 Mar 1833, Ireland; d:  11 Sept 1924, Crystal Lake, Town of Dayton, Waupaca County, Wisconsin (served in the Confederate Army, Mississippi regiment during the War Between the States)
 * Richard, b: 19 Aug 1834, Ireland; d: 10 Apr 1907, Crystal Lake, Town of Dayton, Waupaca Co, Waupaca, Wisconsin  (served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the War Between the States)
* Caroline, b: Ireland; d: at sea, 11 Nov 1853
* Henry, b: Ireland; d: at sea, Nov. 2, 1853
* Catherine, b: 1843, Ireland; d: 1924, U.S.A.
* Jane, b: 1845, Ireland; d: 1921, U.S.A.

After their mother Loveda Alcock Barrington died, the older children were 
bound out to neighbors and worked as household servants.  The boys worked on estates.  As a result of the potato famine, the family emigrated to the U.S., one or two of the children at a time.  Alexander may have emigrated first.
I am descended from Alexander Barrington.
