Hi all,

To those of you who might be interested in seeing the memorial of Anthony Perrier
on the wall at Christ Church.  I hope I can attach it here, I have made it smaller.

Christ Church is no longer used as a church. It has been totally refurbished in
the last few years by the Cork City Council and it is amazing.   The interior is
lovely and all the memorials have been restored.  It is now used for concerts
and it has  a café.   The crypt has some headstones which can be viewed through a
glass partition.

JOYSMA  Julius Caesar Besnard married Jane Perrier in 1832. She was daughter of Anthony Mark Perrier 1770/1845 and Jane Black.  Hardy, Besnard and Perrier were all eminent French Huguenots in Cork.

Thanks for that information Lorraine.  It's always interesting to find more details of my ancestors.

Thank you very much for emailing me copies of photos I'd lost when my computer crashed.  Next time I'll backup the important things on the computer.  I've really appreciated Celtic Liberty being happy to replace some that I never would've been able to get again.

Good Morning All
Please excuse me for inserting myself into the Perrier history but perhaps you can help me solve a mystery. I'll try to be brief. After years of searching I was able to get a transcript of my 4x's great grandfather Joseph Giffen who died in 1835 in Ballygally Antrim Northern Ireland. Joseph died a fairly wealthy man. In his Will he left legacies to his grandchildren, not his children. The largest Legacy was given to an Isabella Perrier of 100 pounds. I have no idea what the family connection is. Perhaps you may be able help identify this girl/woman. Irish records being what they are I also have no idea who Joseph's children were, so I'm unable to offer any assistance on that front. However Joseph's parents were William Giffen and Mary Martin of Carnmoney. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My 4th gt gfr was Julius Caesar Besnard and also interested in Twiss. Richard Twiss was my 7th gt gfr.   Have researched Richard Twiss from Shropshire  to Castleisland Kerry.1609/1682 Sources and dates supplied. See Radleys of Cork.
