Thanks everyone for being so helpful. :)  There is a lot of information for me to digest.  I'll have another look in the attic  to see if I can come up with anything more.  :)

Hi again all.  I can't believe I have had so much information so quickly.  There are just a couple of things I'm stumped with.  ???                                  Aulus,   Herbert and Lilian never divorced.  Herbert died about 1945 and Lilian married Walter Taylor (Herbert's Brother)  maybe 1 year or 2 years later.  So a Lilian and Walter marriage would have to be 1945/46/47.  Sorry.  :( 
Tati,  What makes you think (In the 1871 census you say.)  John and William belong to unmarried daughter  Ruth?  Not that I,m ashamed to have illegitimacy in my family.  :o honest  ;D  How did you work it out?  My head is birlin with all these names and dates.  :)  Kindest Regards All.  :)

Well, she doesn't seem to have felt uncomfortable about it - the census says so  :)
