Death lookup please ?

Can someone do a look up for the following ;

George Donkin  b abt 1848
He is on the census for 1901-1911
Living in Sunderland with his wife Ann (son David)
at Albany Terrace Sunderland.

I can't find his death date ?

he is not listed on the Sunderland city council site:

www.sunderland.gov.uk/pages/registrars

for 1911 - 1950.

there are several deaths in the area on freebmd but none that match his birth date. nearest is 1838.

do you mean you have him on the 1911?

Yes I have seen him on the 1911 Census
aged 63yrs  (b 1848)

His wife was Ann Donkin.

Strange ?
