Ancestry down again?

Can't log on to Ancestry today - and now it's not even recognising my email!

Anyone else experiencing problems?

Same here, put in my username and password and it just takes me back to the login screen again

I've have emailed them asking what is happening, got this auto-reply:

Same for me. I guess they're updating the website or something. They should put up an explanation. Unless it's a Denial of Service attack, like the one that happened to Twitter and Facebook last week. Ancestry don't have any Russian blogger's ancestors in the censuses do they?

If it was a DoS attack we wouldn't be able to load the site.

I was using it last night and the search kept going extremely slow at times. It's frustrating because I wanted to do some quick searching in my lunch break to continue my research from last night.

They should at least have a blog which they update with service issues rather than keeping us guessing.

I agree Chutzpah. Back in the days when I had a pay as you go sub. I only had a couple of days left before it expired, lots of credits, and the blumin' site went on a go-slow for the whole evening that I had intended to do my searching on. Was very cross and asked for some money back. Can't remember if I got it or not, but I suspect not!

I've been logged on since the middle of the morning but it is still working for me I am using the UK version.
