I'm not too advanced on you - but first thing, check all your cables and leads are plugged in properly!   I almost cost myself a fortune, calling in a tech, but as I was dialling the number I realised one of the leads had slipped part-way out of its fitting on the back of the monitor!
I live in Sydney, Australia, and I'm researching: Powell, Tatham, Dunbar, Dixon, Mackwood, Kinnear, Mitchell, Morgan, Delves, & Anderson

Those beeps are meaningful and the beep code is related to you particular make of computer so you will need to know which BIOS you are using in order to work out the fault from this listing of beep codes:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beep_code
Sussex: Floate, West
Kent: Tuffee
Cheshire: Gradwell
Lancashire: Gradwell

Sounds like a faulty video card to me.

A faulty monitor or cable would not cause a computer to beep.
