Marriage lookup request - William John Davison

Father William John Davison, mother Agnes

I was hoping to find the marriage details for William John and Agnes. I do not know the maiden name for Agnes.

Also where would I be able to search and find out the details of siblings of Allen Davison.

Hoping someone can help me with my research.

               31 Dec 1852 William Davison married Agnes Baxter Ballycarry Presbyterian Church, Larne.

I can only find two children on a parent search on the IGI

Alex ander born 19 Jun 1857 Joymount Presbyterian Church, Carrickfergus. He married Jane McGarrie on 9 aug 1877 in Ontonagon, Houghton, Michigan

Henry born 18 Feb 1864 Carrickfergus

IGI lists Alexander as born Carrickfergus and christened Joymount Presbyterian Church. Although it is a submitted record the name of the church would indicate a place to start looking for baptisms of other children in the family (Henry, also born in Carrickfergus, christened there also according to his submitted record).
IGI also lists another child- male (no first name) born 18 Feb.1864 Carrickfergus district to William Davison and Nancy Baxter (submitted record)- Nancy is another form of Agnes.

31 May 1849 William John Davison married Nancy Irwin in Killead Church of Ireland

Thank you eveyone for your rapid responses.

I have re-checked the details from my late Mum and the only info she had was the last name Irvine as the mother of Allen Davison b Oct 1855 and the list of children for William John and Nancy Irwin is correct.   Irvine is close enough to Irwin for  me.  She has listed 3 more children not mentioned in your list, there is a James, Lucy and William Robert.

Can you let me know if you are finding this info on the IGI or is there another site I could check for details.  Example, the parents of William John Davison and Nancy Irwin.

Since the 1849 marriage for William John Davison and Nancy Irwin took place in Church of Ireland it comes under civil registrations (non-Catholic marriages from 1845) You can order the certificate which should list fathers' names and occupations.

IGI also has the marriage listed and gives fathers as George Davison and William John Irwin (yes, Irvine and Irwin are often used interchangeably)

I certainly will investigate ordering the marriage cert. I am in Australia so I will investigate the best option available to order the certificate.

Is the IGI the best source of information for Irish ancestors.

IGI (and rest of LDS site www.familsearch.org) have some extracted and submitted Irish records but there is no one site for Irish records. There's lots of links under ANTRIM RESOURCES and IRELAND RESOURCES (which is currently being re-organised).
