I am searching for the family of Clifford Spencer of Graizelound(Craiseland) Haxey, Lincs.
Clifford and my late Grandfather William(Tom) Darby served together in 107 Light Anti-Aircraft Battery, 27 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, Royal Artillery, during WW2. Both captured at Tobruk June 1942 and then together at a succession of POW Camps in Italy.
Cliffs daughter submitted an article to the
BBC Peoples War site which mentions my grandfather, and her father is listed in a diary of my grandfather.
I am currently working on a history of the Battery/Regiment and would welcome the opportunity to make contact with the family
