Help! Brick Wall

Hi,

I'm having awful difficulty tracing 2 of my ancestors!
George Harvey according to census' was born in 1806 in New Romney, Kent as was his brother Henry Harvey in 1808...however there is no record of this?! where do i go from here.

To make George even more of a man of mystery he dissappears after the 1851 census presumably he dies between 1851 & 1861 as his wife Jane is listed as being a widow in the 1861 Littlehampton Census. However I have been all throught he burials for littlehampton and he is not there 

In the cenus returns he is living in Littlehampton, West Sussex and is a Master Mariner. Could anyone suggest where I go from here in finding births & deaths?
