Hi Angie and Nellie,

I have gone back thru my copy of the baptisms for Hagbourne  (both registers and B/Ts)  and still cannot

find Thomas Woodley's birth or baptism.

However, for your information,  I have found the following;

baptism of mary Harwood - bapt. 22-9-1726 dau of John & Anne.

Also their marriage - 6-4-1725 John Harwood and Anne Parsons - no other info listed

Burials -Ann Harwood 15-1-1773

Thanks a million Alan, you have been a great help.  My 'best guess' for Thomas Woodley (abt 1725-35) would be Harwell with the Johnathan Keates connection as a witness.  I have found a lot of the Keates family in Harwell, and further back the line I have marriage between Keates and Woodley's in Harwell. I think that's the next stage...

I'm also a Woodley relative through the marriage of Sarah Woodley (1759-1873) to Thomas Gilbert Windus (1792-1871) in 1816, possibly in East Hagbourne. I'm trying to trace the Windus's in East Hagbourne but am drawing a blank before William Windus (1762-1838).

Also in Hagbourne, there is  a baptism  for a Sarah Woodley 25-12-1795 d/o William & Ann

but nothing further back that I could see regarding for Thomas  Windus or Will. & Ann Woodley.
