 :o :o :o Blimey!!!!! I'm wiped out!!!

Come out of Pitcroft Lane though. Turn right. There's a few houses there which probably hadn't been changed since they were built! Amazing looking structures! Weird sort of balcony things on them.

Fantastic!  ;D

Steve G..the Royal Dragoon pub(No 15) was about 4 doors up from Mills Road heading east toward London Road on the north side of Kingston Crescent..now you know where Mills Road is..that should help..the dentist i told you about was at No 25(in 1911 anyway)..hope that helps.

Steve; I'm not That old!!!  ;D

No, seriously, mate; All I can remember, now, is that damn Baltic House. Crazy thing is, I probably came round that corner, on the bus, half the days of my life. I must have sat there ~ top deck, smoking ~ and gazed straight through what ever was there, at that north western end. And now it's just a mental blank  :(

Anyway, listen: I've just checked and now realise we're all starting to drift into reminiscences of Pompey. Fantastic fun and I'm sure we'll come up with stuff others will treasure. However, I see we're chatting under " Documents and Artefacts ". I'm sure this place has a spot for Portsmouth stuff?

Maybe a passing Mod' could do a discreet Crop and Shift job for us? See if anyone else picks up on our chat and joins in. Be excellent, wouldn't it?  :)

If not mate then we'll just keep on with the emails and maybe put up anything they may be of interest to anyone on here..i've loads of stories/memories of my youth in and around Kingston Crescent/Stamshaw/Rudmore areas, maybe if we check the old posts on Portsmouth we may be able to solve a few posts between us..i presume you got my emails today describing the Mills Road conundrum..if my mother is up that way i'll get her to take an up to date photo of the place..maybe jog your memory..till next email.

Got your emails??? Steve, I've been sat here for an hour or two, yakkering my head off, in reply! And I'm barely warmed up yet! Dinner's on. If I'm still going when I've ate that and fetch the Dogs in? Start on the Jameson? Ye'd better have some Serious room in ye email, mate!
