Hi Sophiecat and welcome to RootsChat  :) (and Hi Isobel :D)

The free 1911 census index suggests that he was still married to Alice Mary in 1911. Children Alice Maud age 10, William Henry age 9 and George age 7.

George's Army papers show exact birth dates for the children:
Alice Maud 3/9/00
Wm Henry 29/12/01
George 25/9/03

He's still married to Alice in 1914.

oh my gosh thank you all so much, you have managed to do in a few minutes something i,ve been looking for for ages!! dare i ask if you can find if he divorced alice? as he went on to have two more children, my mother and her sister with another lady called kate rolfe? i can find no marriage records, and story goes that alice was in some sort of home with a mental illness of some kind.

Here are some search tips, Isobel  :)

I can't see a second marriage for George Henry either - makes you wonder whether he actually ever divorced his fist wife...

The 1911 census is here http://www.1911census.co.uk/ (It's pay to view)
