In those days I believe CastlemilkHouse and area came under Rutherglen Burgh for schooling. I would try Rutherglen Museum or the Mitchell Library in Glasgow.

The Mitchel Library has a vast collection of the School records in its archive section. There is closure on some of the records but the archavist will advise you on what can be accessed.
