Birch - can anyone help?
« on: Thursday 30 July 09 13:13 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to find the marriage of Robert Birch.  He was born around 1818 in Preston, Shropshire.  He married Martha (she was born around 1828 in Baschurch).  Their first child seems to have been born in 1847, when Martha would have been 19.  I am also, of course, looking for the names of their parents, so a baptism for Robert would also be very useful!

If anyone can help I will be eternally grateful!

Hi RosemH,

Just for the record, all bar one censuses seem to show Robert as being born ca. 1823

FreeBMD has a marriage

Dec 1847 Ellesmere 18 97 (Ellesmere covers Baschurch)
Robert Birch
possible brides: Jane Pickstock, Martha Davies or Martha Williams
