decipher of given names

Can any one help me to decipher the Brides Fathers given name, also a Witness to which I think they could be the same person

Not very clear is it on either, I've stared at it too long at the late end of the day here

Thought I might throw Hart or Kent in as my view  :-\

( and I can't even make out  the surname! ... is the groom's surname Rice? as I was tossing up something beginning with H, K or R)

I don't ever remember seeing abbreviations on certificates.

The first letter looks like capital H & the last like t. I will look on the censuses for a Carr [got the surnames from your .jpg title] ; at least he was a bootmaker & not a labourer!!

I would say that the bride's father and the witness name do seem to be the same. Is the bride Ann Carr?

Carr is very clear  :D especially now that I know! and I must say that Thomas goes much nicer with it than the options I thought of!!

I'm leaning more towards Karl Carr or if he's Welsh "Huel" Carr
