I don't know how you guys have found all this out - I even tried the web links you gave and got nothing! Where is County Cavan in relation to Belfast? Thanks you so much for your time and help.

Co. Cavan not that close to Belfast (about 90 miles Belfast to Cavan town).
Here's a map of Ireland to see the locations for yourself but there are probably better ones online-

Thankyou, that might be helpful. I am usually good with documents and records but have become a duffer with the Irish and Scottish ones! Not sure how one goes about it though - new to the forum. I found Cavan in Google Earth, virtually on the Eire border. This Susan is turning out to be full of surprises, but I would like to purse her: my sister, named after her, bears an uncanny likeness so I feel I would like to find more for her.
