I am looking for the parents and marriage of John Playfoot born about 1725 in Lamberhurst and married a lady called Mary about 1749. Any help would be appreciated. Poppyann

can't help with that date but remember John Playfoot who we last met 1987, at that time he lived at Cold Harbour Farm,Cuckoo Lane,Kamberhurst.   He would have been born about late 1800s or early 1900s.   Our families were friends years ago.   I believe his son had the farm.  we were at that time in touch with Mary Standen who had written a book about Pembury.

Lamberhurst baptisms 1563-1844 and marriages1564-1842  are on the IGI but there is no sign of him there.  ???

As yet I haven't found a connection with the playfoot families at Cold Harbour Farm nad my Playfoot family, but I will carry on searching. Thanks bearkat for your info
