Samuel Pigeon born 1777 Yorkshire
« on: Sunday 26 July 09 12:45 BST (UK) »
Need to find anyone with interests in the name Pigeon - or the other ways of spelling it! I have Samuel marrying Elizabeth Birkinshaw 24 October 1768 Catherdral St Peters Sheffield IGI M007756, and no other mentions of him at all. I added the name to my interests and it didn't even come up matching anything. He had a son William b1797 who married Hannah Hernden (or Bradbury according to the IGI C150523) and that's a bit of a mystery too. Anyone got any ideas please?
Adela

Hi Adela,

I noticed you hadn't had a reply yet.

As Sheffield was in West Yorkshire, it might be an idea to re-post this on the West Yorkshire Board.
Fingers crossed, you find someone who's also researching Pigeons!

Hi
I have moved the post to West Yorks for you.  I am not quite sure what you want though.  Did you just pick pick Samuel out of the air - or the IGI?   Is he connected to you?
The chances of someone who married in 1768 having a son 30 odd years later with no other children before that seem remote.   William married very young too.   Have you looked at the original records and found the witnesses etc?
