Various Milne People
« on: Friday 24 July 09 15:50 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am looking for any info someone might have on the following people: -

Alexander Milne who possibly married Teresia Will in 1749 and was the owner of the Mill of Buchanstone. He had children George, Peter, William, Elizabeth, Robert and Robert.

Elizabeth Milne who married George Mortimer. Born 1798 to William and Elizabeth and died c1869.

Alexander Milne the Rev of Tough born c1817.

Robert Milne of Drumminor Farm, South Australia.

Anyone got any connections anywhere?

I think Elizabeth Milne (19th July 1869) and George Mortimer (12th April 1855) are buried together at Logie-Durno, stone 48.

Robert Milne:

Apologies for the long delay in replying.

Can you tell me where you go the gravestone information from Elizabeth Milne and George Mortimer? I have been searching on the internet to see if I can find an inscription but to no avail.

Aberdeen and North East Scotland Family History Society have a fabulous website with an Index of Monumental Inscriptions.

This index is available online at the new site, it's so much easier to use now  ;D

http://www.anesfhs.org.uk/databank/miindex/miindex.php

The full inscriptions are published in booklets by the ANESFHS.

Hope this helps
