Cadman family in Soham
« on: Friday 24 July 09 09:25 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help me locate the marraige of Thomas Cadman baptised in Soham, Cambridgeshire in 1748,  according to the IGI.   He married Honor (maiden name unknown).  She was born c1737.  They subsequently moved to Isleham, Cambridgeshire where their children were baptised.

Many thanks

Rosie

You might be better off on the Cambridgeshire board?

You will find local experts there, unless you think that Thomas was married out of the area?

Hi,
On the Cambridgeshire marriage index a Thomas Cadman married in 1769 in Isleham.
Hopefully someone on here has Isleham parish registers to give you the full entry to see if it is your Thomas.

Tempsford. :)

Hi Tempsford,

I guess I should have mentioned that I have the CD of Isleham Parish Records.  The Thomas Cadman you are referring to was born in Isleham in 1748 but he married Mary Drayton in 1769.  Are you researching the Cadman family in Cambridgeshire?

Thank you for taking the time.

Hi,
From Mildenhall parish registers Thomas and Honor married 10 July 1774.
No, I'm not researching the Cadman family, just trying to help  :)

For Suffolk Sue and Tempsford

I can now move forward (or should I say backward).  My father's family lived in the Mildenhall area in the 19th and 20 century, I felt that they may have come from there but couldn't find any solid proof.

Thank you.
