Hi Simon,
I have replied to your post on the London board, your reply in answer to my post of 30/5/04 regarding Alexander & Elizabeth Hart.
I mentioned in my reply that a sibling of one of my Hart Ancestors was EVEN JONES HART baptised 1801 at Chelmsford.
It would be be more appropriate I think if we use the Essex board for any future correspondence, so if it's OK by you we could either use my original post located in the slot above yours and entitled simply HART, or if you wish your post HART FAMILY in ESSEX, I'm easy.
Just about to go and look at your web site.
Concentrating currently on:
Essex: Card, Harris, Stowell, Theobald/Tibbles & Turner.
Norfolk: Beale, Cork & Dalton.
Yorkshire: Oswald Sturdy birth/baptism c1708, Oswald where the devil are you?

I remember a George and Gertie Hart in Elmstead Market. He was the village blacksmith in my young days, so must go back pre WW2. Died after I moved away from the village, I would guess in the mid-seventies. He was retired by the late 1950's. Gertie was a stalwart of WI, Church, MU, whist drive organising, etc, etc and, form memory, died some time in the mid-eighties. Hope this helps.

Hi Simon,  just wondered if you knew if your family of Hart were in any way connected to mine, afraid I haven't much info yet, just Mary Ann Hart born 1820 married Edward Day Hicks 22nd July 1840 at Hartismere Baptist Chapel, her father being Henry Hart, but I dont know any more than that,  sorry but its not a line I've yet really followed.
