Cardiff in the 1920s
« on: Tuesday 21 July 09 16:02 BST (UK) »
Hello

I'm currently working for  a small TV production company in Cardiff. One of our projects is a documentary on our building. For those of you familiar with the city, it's the old National Provincial Bank, on Bute Street, Cardiff Bay.

What I'm looking for at the moment is any photos or film of the building in particular, but also the local surrounding areas too.

I've tried the Glamorgan Record Office [where I found the plans of the building], and Cardiff libary's photo resources don't seem to have anything of the right period.

If anyone has any ideas or contacts of where to find some photos or any information on the area generally, it would be most appreciated if you could post it here, or PM me.

Thanks

Kevin

Welsh Aerofilms Collection albums can be viewed at RCAHMW in Aberystwyth.   Please contact RCAHMW, Plas Crug, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion SY23 1NJ

There is also the National Screen and SOund Archive of Wales which might have something (but not necessarily back to the 1920s)  This entry sounded interesting http://screenandsound.llgc.org.uk/cronfa/title.php?titleno=4466 for Butetown in 1960s
