Hi

There seems a difference in the childrens birth dates and Marriage date

ROSAMOND KILTON
Spouse: WILLIAM DUNNING Family Marriage:

01 FEB 1748    Appleton Wiske, Yorkshire, England

There is No Rosamond bapt/Birth in IGI but there a place name in Yorkshire! so other posters may help you from this info

Best I can do
Regards Dobby
In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Sorry I have no information prior to the Dunning/Kilton marriage but I do have information on Rosamond Dunning bap 16 January 1764, Leake, Northallerton, Yorkshire.

Rosamond Dunning died 1 March 1800, Stanley, County Durham, England, buried 4 March 1800, Tanfield, County Durham.

She married Thomas Freick, 23 December 1787, Kirby Sigston, Northallerton. Thomas Freik was a travelling salesman.

Thomas Freik was bap 23 March 1756, Lanchester, County Durham.

Thomas Freick died Dipton, County Durham and was buried Tanfield, 29 April 1837.

Parents of Thomas Freik, John Freik and Catherine Cheesemond.

I have Snowdon's (Snowden) bap but did not know what happened to him.

The Freiks are 1/2 related to me. My 3rd Great Grandmother Phoebe Garthwaite Bowes married a William Freik after the death of her husband in a mining accident.

Have you any details on Snowdon, what was his problem giving him a free passage to Tasmania and marriage, children and death date in Tasmania or other place in Australia.

First Snowdon Dunning! There is nothing comming up on this link below if he was transported as a convict and I can't think he would have emigrated there those years but? maybe in the navy or as prison officer or even army.
I'll get back on rest of family!

maybe awhile to dig and if I give no reply ??? then nothing has turned up.

It must have been about twenty years or more since I have worked on the Freak line so I re-checked the Rosamond Dunning and Thomas Freak entries.

Was it Thomas Freak from County Durham that Rosamond married? The parish registers for the Bishop of Durham, Shute Barrington, were exceptionally informative +- 1800 when she died. The parish record (Tanfield, County Durham), states she was Rose Freak, maiden name Dunning and she was the wife of Thomas Freak living in Stanley, County Durham at the time of her death.

Thomas Freak re-married and died 1837 aged 81 which is exactly the right amount of years for him being born in 1756.

He used the alias Dunhill bud, you might have some luck looking for that name. His son George was transported too & executed, in Tasmania i believe.

If anybody's interested, here is a link to download Snowden's autobiography (or perhaps the first part of it?):
