Hi Richard, I put this message in PM by mistake, however, re Sterne - this was a Waterford family since the 1664 Peter Street upheavals. The Peter Street property owners included Archer, Grant, Sherlock, and Lumbard but these were displaced by Cromwell in 1664 and replaced with   Thomas, Dunne, Crippes, Kelly, Davis and your possible ancestor Sterne. So there would be Sternes buried in John's Hill (C of I) cemetery. If you get in touch with Rev Trevor Lister at Christ Church Cathedral, he might be able to help. R

Thanks for the reply.

Yes. Looking for William Jones died 1912 would have lived at 2 Beau St in 1912.

His wife Anne Jones died 1941, death cert shows her living in the Burchall Home

There are two graves there side by side with two of his sons John Jones and Thomas Benjamin Jones

OK.

thanks for your help. I will go and look through the graves again.

I was told they were buried there and now that I am 100% sure, I will have another look.

I wonder do you have a record for a Mary Anne Burke or Bourke (nee Jones) in Johns Hill. Died before 1948. Born 1880.

I could not find that person, a lot of the headstones have fallen face down, that might be one of them.
