My wife is the Grand daughter of Ronald Joseph Fitzgerald, his parents were Francis Robert Fitzgerald and Martha Trillby Haining. Who was also married to William John Donnison and her step father was Robert Hall.

Martha Hainings Parents were James Haining and Martha Tielle. According to the family data we have here, this is correct.

There was a slight problem in finding this information due to a few skeletons in the closet. However, I would like some confirmation about these details and see if they match in with what other people have.

Thanks

Quentin Samuelson

So far we have the same information.  My grandmother was Rena Margaret Hall, her parents were Robert Hall and Martha Haining.  She was half sister of  your connection.  My information tells me that Robert Hall and Martha did not ever marry and were only together a few years before he died.  Therefore my grandmother Rena Margaret and your wife's grandmother were half sisters.  I do have the information on the Fitzgeralds but not much on Robert Hall who was my great grandfather.  I believe he came from Victoria, met Martha in Tasmania where my grandmother was born but have no other info on him.  He was born approx 1880 and died 1912 in Kalgoorlie Western Australia.

Hi Quentin

Unfortunately our family are not linked to yours as my great grandparents came out from Ireland to Australia in about 1860 and my great grandfathers name was Richard Fitzgerald and my great grandmothers name was Ellen Harty.  Sorry about that.  Hope you have some luck.

Yes our trees do link.  My grandmother was Rena Margaret Hall, half sister of Martha Trilby (Tess).  My mum was Rona Belle Butler - daughter of Rena and cousin of Ron and Bob Fitzgerald.
Starting to get a bit more information now thanks to a couple of the contacts on this sight.
But we are linked no doubt about that.
Interesting stuff.  I have had contact with the daughter in law of Bob (Ron's brother)  She has been most helpful

Thanks for that. seems to link in perfectly with what I have.
Would you mind if I sent you my version of this side of the family tree to compare.
I would also be interested in anything you are willing to share.

I will private message you my email if this is ok.

Absolutely fine to share via email But I got a lot of my information from what I think is your tree on the internet BUT I may well have all the more personal details that are of interest of the generations that I knew rather than further back.  How do we email privately.

Hi Jemq  It sounds as if we do have a connection as the names of my great grandparents are certainly Richard Fitzgerald and Ellen Harty.  My grandmother was one of their children her name was Nora and she married John Bell Towers in Denmark in 1901.

Also her brothers Garrett, Michael and Morris and also her sister Kate lived in Denmark until about 1905 when the mill closed down and they all had to move on to look for work.  Garrett went to Yarloop and Michael and Morris went to Dardanup.

I am currently trying to find out when Morris died as he is not mentioned on his mothers Death Certificate in 1906 but there is 1 deceased male and 1 deceased femane (the female would be Annie who died in Clifton Hills in 1895).  If you have any info regarding Morris I would certainly appreciate it.
cheers.
