If this marriage was in Victoria, then you can purchase and download the image, immediately.

Click on >>  "Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages" which takes you to the "online shop" from where you firstly find the correct registration number for the 1919 marriage, and then purchase the image of the marriage record.

Sorry, can't offer you any help with this "other" researcher whose email addy is invalid.

It does sound though that in 2002 when he posted the message, that he really didn't have much information on the TIELLE family.

If you remember, back in my reply # 2, the Peter TIELLE / Mary Ann BROWN marriage in 1866, was a bigamous one  ... and Pierre TIELLE (alias Peter TIELLE), was sent to jail for 12 months as a consequence.

The researcher here, seems to have made the assumption that Peter TIELLE is the father of this Millie TIELLE

Yes, there was a marriage for a Millie TIELLE to SMALES, but looking at the NZ death index, this Millie SMALES died in 1985 and her birth is recorded as ... 16 July 1913.

It seems more probable that she is the daughter of William and Norah TIELLE ?

whoops  ... what I meant to convey in last post, was that
if Millie TIELLE was a daughter of Pierre (Peter) TIELLE and Mary Ann BROWN, then she certainly would have been born an lot earlier than 1913.      [Mary Ann and Peter's liaison was way back in 1866 !]
