Hi Maggie

Can't really help you with this as I don't see the record online.

Did you find it on A*****y  ?    (I saw an index of sorts there, but i don't have a subscription to the site.)

Difficult to know if it is a "4-year-old Miss M. HAINING"  -  a small child would need to be travelling with an adult I'd think.

There seems to be a microfiche (or microfilm) version of this 1826-1922 NSW Unassisted Passengers List.   If that is like the list for earlier voyages to NSW, then it might be also indexed by ship's name   ... i.e. "Victoria" 1907 ... and you could look to see the names of others on the same voyage.

Lu

Hi Maggie

Well, wish I'd seen the thread on the OZ board  re: FITZGERALD (by "Kazo") a little sooner.    ::)

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,392841.0.html

I wasn't aware until now, that the marriages of Teresa Margaret HALL had actually been found !

So, as has been suggested on this other thread, the marriage certificate (or certificates) for Teresa, should provide you with the necessary information to determine who her parents were, and where she was born.

The marriage certificate would detail the maiden name of the bride's mother and more importantly the bride's place of birth.

Hi Maggie

At the risk of sounding like "a record needle, stuck in a groove",  I can only emphasise the point that other RC'ers have made in these two threads.

If you (and/ or, your sister) seriously want to solve this "problem", then the way forward is to purchase the marriage record (or records) for Teresa HALL.

There is only so much that fellow RootsChatters can do for you ... finding records which may help in your quest, offering clues or possible scenarios.  [ All information given free ... and freely.]     But that's where it ends, and the "next move" is over to you, hopefully based on the recommendations made in this forum.

Best of luck.    :)

(And do feel free to pop back here and let us all know the outcome   ... or if you need any more assistance. )  :)

Lu
