Naturalization records are kept in the Orphan's Court, I believe in Pennsylvania.  There are no books available for viewing such records.  You might try to locate someone from Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness that does lookups in Philadelphia.

Hi Ohio Susan,
Apologies for not replying sooner-I am in Ireland and there's a wee bit of a time difference!

Thanks for the record but unfortunately it's not my Daniel  :( My Daniel was born 6.6.1882 in the townland of Carran, Limavady, Co Derry, N Ireland. I have a date for his naturalisation on June 16, 1914 in Phil,PA-I found this on the Ellis Island site on a passenger record. I am trying to get any info on him and his brother, John in Philadelphia and their mother, Bessie. I have hit many brick walls! But I have a very hard head so I'll keep trying. Everyone on this site has been so willing to help.

Have you found any of the family members on census returns (in America), or their immigration records to America?  If not, if you would like to give us John and Bessie's dates of birth and possibly the sons' occupations, we could have a look.  Also, if you might know when they arrived in America, please?

There are also Philadelphia naturalization indexes and records available on microfilm through the LDS FHL.  See their catalog here:
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/Library/FHLC/frameset_fhlc.asp

Place search Philadelphia part of Pennsylvania.  Click the second link that comes up.  Then scroll to naturalization.

On another note, you may find something useful here:

Hi Lisa (and Cheryl too)
Thanks for your help. Elizabeth (Bessie)  McLaughlin(nee O'Kane) was born April 6,1862 in Limavady, Co Derry, Ireland. Widowed 1887.  Her son Daniel was born June 6,1882 Co Derry, Ireland.  Second son John was born March 30,1884, Co Derry, Ireland.  She had 2 more children both born in Ireland before she was widowed.  She emigrated to the US-to Philadelphia we think. I found a record for Dan on the Ellis Island site for May 18,1908 and for John Nov 19,1907. Both on the SS california.
I haven't been able to find them on the census records or any other records. I know she never returned to Ireland altho' she expressed an interest to come "home". She and her two sons remained in the US while her other two children remained in Ireland.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Could this be your John and Daniel?  (Will check for these two on the 1920, in case their names really are Loughlin.)

1910 Cambridge Ward 3, Middlesex County, Massachusetts
John Loughlin (Coughlin)*, age 28, born c1882 in Ireland (English), parents were born in Ireland (English).  Single.  He was a boader, immigrated 1906, occupation: Slatterman?, Standard Oil?
Daniel Loughlin (Coughlin)*, age 26, born c1884 in Ireland (English), parents were born in Ireland (English).  Single. He was a boader, immigrated 1909, occupation: Laborer, Railroad
Address: 197? Portland? St  On the previous page, another street mentioned was Plymouth.
The head of household was Abraham Goode (born Ireland/Irish), his wife Bridget, son Michael and a Abraham's brother-in-law (cannot read name).

*Name could be Loughlin.

Perhaps the person giving the information reversed their ages?
