jane johnstone m.s. Kerr
« on: Sunday 12 July 09 10:10 BST (UK) »
Jane was the wife of John James Johnstone who was a commercial traveller. She died in 1976 her address was Mallaig Road, Glasgow. She was the sister of my grandfather, Hugh Wallace Kerr. Jane was born in 1886 at Cargenbridge , Troqueer, Kircudbrightshire. She hada sister Margaret who married John Doig who was a shop manager. Her death was regestered in the district of New Kilpatrick in 1988, she was born in 1895 in Cargenbridge like her sister. Does anyone have links with them?. In a previous posting the other day I mentioned Sarah another sister who might of joined them in the Glasgow area, thanking you stoop.

Hi Ken your reply was quite a pleasant surprise as I have tried unsuccessfully to make contact with the descendants of my grandfathers brothers and sisters. I will be pleased to give you any information that I have that is of value to you . Regards stoop. I of course will look forward to you contacting me again soon.

Hi Stoop,
I had the connection of Margaret Kerr married to John Doig. I am not related to this line, but I research all Doig's worldwide. If you want any details added to the tree and uploaded please send along.
Good hunting, Ken

Hi,
I don't think they went to America. John Doig died 1 Oct 1979 in Glasgow and Margaret Kerr in 1988 in New Kilpatrick. I only know of one child Ian born in 1930 and nothing more.
