Janet Hayden 1870 (1871 & 1881 Census Lookup) COMPLETED

I'm looking for Janet Hayden born c 1870 in Hammersmith. I know that she married to Alfred Jarrett in 1889 in Hammersmith, and would be interested in finding out who her parents/siblings are.

Living at Phillip's Cottages, Hammersmith

There is also a John Haydon b 1860 listed as lodger.


They are living at 15, Chaldon Rd, Fulham

Joanna did well in finding them in 1881/1871 censuses
As names are transcribed as HAYDON. I have been unable to find Janet/Jannets birth record conclusively on freebmd . The closest is in 1874 which would make her very young at marriage. BUT

I have found Henry and Susans marriage on the IGI;

Henry HAYDON, Father Richard
Susan WATTS
19 August 1866, Hammersmith, London, England

On census entries Henry is born Berkshire and so is the John Haydon on 1881 census, as lodger. Probably younger brother of Henry.
All the ther haydons including Susan are born london, Middlesex.

You would have to purchase marriage cert of Janet and Alfred to confirm parents names conclusively.

If Henry Haydon did marry Susan Watts how does that explain the child born in 1862. Any chance that on the 1861 he was married before.

OOPs, just working on this now.
On 1871 census Janet is Jennet, found this birth though;

That won't be her entry. It's 11 years to early. Thing is they didn't have to register the births before 1875. Wasn't law to do so till then.

Also Henry Haydon could have married Susan Tandy 1861 Bromsgrove.
