correction these men's dates of birth would be 1780 to 1810.  Yikes!!!!

Hi Rick

The only Edward that I can find was bpt. 8 July 1821. Son of Thomas Platt and Elizabeth - Morton Above. I think that's the Rhos area.

There are quite a few of those names in the earlier baptisms. I'll need to type them all out. Here's a John who may fit:

17 March 1790 John Platt s/o John Platt and Ann, Morton Above


There appear to be two families - one in Cristionydd Cynrig and one in Morton Above. The names are similar so they might be related further back.

I've found an Edward Platt baptised 18 Sept 1837 - son of John Platt, (collier) and Sarah of Morton Above

Nothing in my records (to 1853) after 1849.
