The marriages should show even if the baptisms don't  because of the need to marry in C of E - that's what's bugging me 

I'll have a look in the Chirk and Llangollen records and some of the neighbouring Deeside parishes .  I think that you have the Wrexham ones.

The marriage you gave me with John platt and Hanna Platt seems to make sense.....since on the ship register in 1829, they have a daughter Sarah who is 11....So 1817 makes sense for the marriage record......The other marriage of Thomas and Ann would probably be later ...I am estimating in the 1820's some time.

No marriage for Thomas and an Ann in Chirk or Llangollen.

The other thing that you might consider is the Hayes marriage Index:

Hi Gadget,

Got up real early today and decided to come to North Wales particularly Clywd FHS website!!!  Looking at the index of churches there and names of the Platt family.....Seems like in the time period I am looking at 1790-1815  ......there are Platt's showing up in Overton and Erbistock church records....Overton is interesting because it seems like there maybe marriages of some of the males baptized in Ruabon....Randle, Richard, and Thomas......There seems like a  chance that some of these people may have went to these churches for baptisms and marriages.....Can you point me to someone that has these transcripts .......I am tempted to buy them from Clywd FHS but I have bought five transcripts already this month!!!

I think that I may have them, Rick, and was going to check  this afternoon. However, I'm not sure if I have them that late because my lines lived in the area pre 1750. If not, you could order the parish record films from your nearest Family History Centre (LDS). It will be listed here:

The other areas that might be worth searching are the Shropshire parishes of ST Martins and Ellesmere.
I think these might be covered by the IGI.

There is a baptism of a Hanna BLUNT May 26, 1795 at Ruabon Parish Church, daughter of Thomas BLUNT & Sarah. 

There are two other baptisms for this couple
Jan 1, 1786 Anne BLUNT d/o Thos & Sarah (Chrystionedd Kenrick)
Dec 21, 1792 Thomas BLUNT d/o Thomas & Sarah (CK)
