Nicholas Murphy - Wexford

Ye its quite possible Matthew was born in Wexford alright but i believe his brother Patrick was born sometime after 1916, i wouldn't mind getting my hands on the 1926 census to fill the gaps!

Ive tried that search even for my own father and it comes back with no results?

Any ideas?

dont worry - you will find the right trail! it might take a little time (and money), and sometimes a handful of incorrect certs

sometimes it's a case of eliminating possible matches...

you can order certs from the GRO at : www.groireland.ie using the index details obtained from the familysearch index.

possibly interesting record for you from the 1911 census...

at number 7 Ravensdale Rd, North Dock there is

Charles (age 42) and Sarah Murphy (age 28) - Charles born in Co. Wexford, Sarah in Dublin city
two children listed, Charles (17)  and Marie (8 mon)
Charles born in Wexford, Marie born in Dublin City

married just two years, so maybe a 2nd marriage for Charles. They could be connected to Nicholas - same house as Nicholas and Co in 1939, and has Murphy's from Wexford...

assuming that the family lived in the Dublin north city around 1916 the this looks to be the best match for the birth of Matthew :

(there are a few other results in Dublin south city that could be close - in 1915, 1917 and 1919)

Hi Lads,

Got a phone call this morning to tell me that Nicholas Murphy married a girl called Jane Telio???

And that he came from Ballygarran, Kilmuckridge, but no match for this on 1911 census?

Any ideas?
