Although I've not done the research myself, I have seen the Corbetts linked back to the 1066 invasion and there are published lines of Corbetts coming down to the present like this:

More of the name would be useful. There is an artist, WRIGHT, H. C. Seppings in Who's Who UK.

Hi,
The watercolour is predominantly two birds......signed H WRIGHT 1924. That is all I can see. It was the auctioneer who narrowed it down to the Corbett family in Market Drayton Shropshire, saying it would be of huge interest to them. The picture belonged to Great Grandparents from Madeley in Stoke-on- Trent. Apart from that I have no further information. I was just curious as to its origins and possible meaning.

The above fellow is the most likely I can find. Maybe you can see if there is a similarity between your painting and some of his:

Here are two Corbet resources if you have not come across them.

I'm trying to confirm if a 1663 marriage between a Rowland Glover and Ann Corbett is to a member of the Corbett tree. No details to be found about Rowland so far.
