Hans Kristian OLSEN
« on: Thursday 09 July 09 18:25 BST (UK) »
I cannot find any pointers to anything relating to Hans Kristian Olsen. I know that he was born in Norway abt 1863. He was a seaman and married Hannah Lavinia Smith in 1901 at St Andrews, Barton Regis, Shirehampton. He died in 1904 from brights disease in Bristol. If anyone can help me out it would be fantastic, I have tried to find his parents, place of birth or anything prior to 1901 but nothing has turned up.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

Did they marry before or after 1901 census?
Have you got him/them on 1901?
Does marriage cert give any more clues about him - father's name for example (in case whole family came over here)
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

Hans got married on 5th June 1901, I have found nothing on the 1901 census. The marraige certificate does indicate the Hans' father was Ola Martinius OLSEN.

At his marriage, who were the witnesses? (Perhaps they were shipmates, for example). What address was he living at? (Could check this in the 1901 census).
