THANKS JENN

DORT

That is if  you  have  the  right death certificate. I   feel  the 1907 death is more  than likely to be correct.

Hi Dort,

If you have the burial information from WTC you should know what year Richard was buried. (Though I suspect both of these men were buried at West Terrace)

I suspect the Richard LLOYD who died in 1907 is the one who arrived in 1855 but is he your ancestor? I doubt it.

He appears several times in the destitute asylum records in 1903-1906

1903 aged 65 arrived aboard BUCEPHULUS been in colony 48 years residence Pt Augusta

1905 aged 67 arrived aboard BUCEPHULUS been in colony 50 years residence Destitute Asylum

1905 aged 67 arrived aboard BUCEPHULUS been in colony 50 years residence Destitute Asylum

1906 aged 68 arrived aboard BUCEPHULUS been in colony 51 years residence C/O DR Bickle North Terrace.

The man who died in 1919 is listed as married which fits with your man.

Cheers Kris  :)

Going  through  the mariages

1. 1/7/1867  he was 31 married Margaret Meyers (died 15/5/1874)
one month later he married again

2. 9/6/1874 widower aged 39 married Emma Wadsworth ( died 22/9/1899)
three months later he married again

3.  5/12/1899 widower aged 66 married Mary Bourke

No sign of her death up to 1916

Then there is  this marriage   7/12/1903 widower aged 66 (still ) married Sarah Jane Poyner ?

Dort how ae you  related  to Richard LLoyd?

The Chap who died in 1907 had no known relatives in the state

I don't know what happened to Mary........ or Sarah  ::)

perhaps this is the reason he was buried with wife number two although she is the mother of his son, and presumably he organised the burial.
