Tasmania - Tamar Valley Fruit Growers
« on: Saturday 04 July 09 11:43 BST (UK) »
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to track down Amy Hilda MURR b.1892 in Edmonton, London.  She appears in the 1901 UK Census.  I've been told that she married, had a son and daughter and moved to Launceston Tasmania where her husband was Secretary of the Tamar Valley Fruit Growers' Association c. 1935, (sorry, no name for husband, and I don't know if she married before or after moving to Tasmania).
I would like to try and track down the records of the association or perhaps someone could point me in the right direction to do further digging.
Many thanks,
Half Kiwi

Hi Troods - and many thanks for your help.  Without going over the top, I think it is very likely that this is my missing rellie, who would have been c.26years old at the time.  I'll try to find a bit more on assisted passages to Australia around that time.
Again, many thanks for your help.
Cheers, Half Kiwi
