Another son from the BROWN family at Green Valley that I have been helping with
This time trying to find descendants of ROBERT, son of Thomas and HElen Brown who came from SCT on HElenslee 1868 and settled Green Valley area Otago
Awaiting some certs to confirm a few things but preliminary bits look like:
Robert Brown married to Jean?jane Stark 17/7/1868, Glasgow, Lanark, SCt (LDS)
Death cert for Robert, died WAIHI 1908, a miner, living issue: son 27, Thomas (he was informant) and daughter aged 37 ??name
Looks like Robert and Jeannie are buried at Waihi cem, no M/I (Cem website)
There is a THOMAS STARK BROWN of matching age who marries MAY WALL 1911 (NZ BMD)
and have a daughter 1915 (NZSG CERT awaiting this)
Looks like THOMAS STARK BROWN dies at Napier 1948 and widow May Stark Brown dies Epsom and buried Napier 1979 aged 92
Ring a bell with anyone?
If not, anyone from NAPIER area? are the newspapers indexed anywhere. I will ask libraries if no one knows, but ever hopeful that someone may recognise the names

Mother of 2 roberts is Ellen/Helen and bth have Craig and Glendinning connections but seem to be def 2 different folk ??
