Where has this info come from?
I can't see it on 1891/1901, there's no richard on BMD's so can we assume that you have a marriage cert/1911 census?

Which is it and what else does it contain?

There are a few Aquilla Halls around, and I spotted a marriage for a John Aquilla Hall too. (Aquilla is a biblical name, a couple called Priscilla and Aquilla) Are you sure that is not his middle name?
Though I could not see anything for a Richard Aquilla.

Hi...I have checked on freebmd for all the richard a hall and richard aguilar...nothing...the only one that looks to be a "maybe "is a Richard Hall b Ormskirk 1860 ref no 8b 488 .....not that far from Liverpool.....
on Lancsbmd the above birth is registered Bickerstaffe.
.ALL the Aguilar births right up to 1915 are in the London area.
....this is a puzzler....I`ll keep looking.....allan

but they are all down as born in London area, and Richard is a warehouseman in a meat factory    Fits in with Garstonites finding only Londoners.

I'll see if this Richard/Eliza marriage turns up on bmds

Aha - found Edward in the Historical Directories:

Edward Hall, Chief Steward, 29 Stanford St, Liverpool S.  From Gores alphabetical directory for 1900.  http://www.historicaldirectories.org

That suggests that Edward was born a lot earlier than 1888, as age 12 is a bit young to be a Chief Steward   

Maybe it was Edward, not Richard, that was born in 1861?

Edward is coming up on a People search in the 1911 using search terms Edward Hall + (occupation) Chief Steward + (place of birth) Liverpool

Year of birth 1865.  Location in 1911, West Derby

I went back to the 1911 & did some more guess work; Edward is coming up as married  around 1900 and there is at least one other person with surname Hall there as well. No-one called Richard though.

However I would treat the 1900 with caution, as AT LEAST one man that I know does not know the date, let alone, the year of his marriage!
