James Kelly J.P. was a great uncle of mine and I would like to get as much information about him as I can, including tracing his descendents.

Was he also born in Newcastle under Lyme or elsewhere?

Was 1942 his birthyear or the year he was mayor?

If it was the year he was mayor - when was he born?

Do you have his birth cert showing who his parents were?  If not that should be your main starting point in tracing his ancestry

James Kelly was my great-grandfather. His eldest daughter Kathleen was my maternal grandmother. She was the oldest of four girls, - also Helen (approx 93), Joan (died around 1985) and Mona (approx 81).

Hi there, my grandmother was sister of James, she was Bridget Kelly.  Sadly she died before I was born so I never met her, I would be very interested to gather as much info./etc from you pertaining to James and his ancestors.  I am not sure what the best way to proceed is...do you know...
