Celia, I am pretty certain they were Methodists, possibly Primitive Methodists

I think for these burial it would be best to search Non conformist first,Unfortunately i don't have the time to travel back and forth to libraries and archives. To do a blanket search but between us members we will find them, they have to be somewhere ;D If they are not found In Non-Con in any council cemeteries. You maybe will have to think about churchyards.

I think I  will  take my own advice :) and in the future look in the non-conformist first, when i do my look-ups and the religion isn't known.Or not sure of,It could save some time :-\

Hi Lynne

I was able to look at the burials for Flaybrick cemetery for you today and found John Hunt and Dora Hunt.
Celia was right - they were in the non conformist section.

Dora Hunt age 45 wife of John 15 Collingwood Street Birkenhead Burial 30/9/1902  Section 4 number 424
John Hunt age 73 Watchman 10 Menai Street Birkenhead  Burial 17/9/1923  Section 4 number 424

John and Dora are buried in the same grave.
Unfortunately I couldn't find the burial for Amelia Hunt in either Flaybrick or Bebington cemetery non- conformist.

Hope this helps

Neptune,

Thank you and Celia for your efforts.

It's great that you were able to find them, nice too that they were in the same grave.   Have to look elsewhere for Amelia.

thanks again

Lynne

Dear Lynne

I came across your post after searching for details about Collingwood Street. I'm afraid I don't have any details about your relatives at present, but I was born in Collingwood street in the 1960s, leaving in 1968 when the area was demolished. My parents had lived there for some years before that, and my grandparents in the same street before them for some years. I will ask my mam if she has any knowledge of your relatives. She has an incredible memory and you never know, her parents may have lived in the street at the same time. Birkenhead was a very close knit town at the time.

Best wishes

Simon
