Does anyone have anything on a Richard Synnott father of Sir Walter Synnott 1742 - 1821. Looking to see if there was a Patrick in this line.

There seems to be quite a bit on stirnet on the Synnot line, if you are still looking.

I know there were a lot of different spellings but I'd not heard this one before. Yes. I'm still interested to see what might be in them. As you know this is a tough name to find in Ireland. But I still believe ther must be some records out there somewhere. All we have to do is find them.
Thank you.

I have very little too so this may be a red herring for you, but where in the line do you expect Patrick to be?

If it is before Richard this wont help, and nor if it is really Patrick but there are a lot of ref to  "Parker"  George Synnot on a roots web chat that might be of interest to you

My Patrick was born in 1752 in County Wexford. So the story goes????????? He left for America in 1773 after serving for 7 years as one of the King's Waiters. But I've not found any proof of this and the only proof of his birth comes from his pension application he filed when he was 80 years old. There is a clue that might help. There was a Catherine Sinnett of Dublin that married a Robert Cunningham and they also came to America. They may have been related in some way. I hope this helps. Thank you.

Justed posted this in Ireland general but thought I'd put it here too.

Really pleased with this find when researching for Synnot:

Annals of Sinnott, Rogers,Coffin, Reeves,Bodine, & allied families, by
Mary Elizabeth Sinnott 1905

http://www.archive.org/details/annalsofsinnottr01sinn

A bit short on dates but there are some handy family trees and the whole book is available as pdf for free download

WOW!!!! That was quite a find. I'm not sure my Patrick is related to any of these but there are a lot of offsprings shown that don't go into descendents and he might be part of those. It was great reading and it made it easy to follow the family. I hope you keep on searching. I think your on the right track. Since everyone says he was a member of the Kings Waiters, do you think there is a record of members somewhere that might tie him to someone or someplace? Great Job, Thank You.
