HICKMAN/KING. Wooton Underwood
« on: Saturday 27 June 09 15:35 BST (UK) »
Please could someone help me with the marriage date and place of Elizabeth Hickman and William King.
William was born 1765 in Wooton Underwood, I have no details of Elizabeth,  they had six known children, all born in Wooton Underwood, the first two may have been twins Thomas and William b.1789, Sarah 1791, George 1794, John 1796 and Anne 1797.
Any other details of Elizabeth Hickman would be of great help too !!

Thank you.

The couple didn't marry in Wotton Underwood, but of course the banns were called there:

Elizabeth Hickman came from Grendon Underwood

So it seems you need access to Grendon Underwood PRs.
I hope this helps.

Steve, I have found a baptism of a Wiliam who was the son of John & Jane King for 1765 at All Saints, Wotton Underwood.

Hi Marycecil & Steve,

Thanks for your info.  I recently found out that William was the son of John King and Jane Hannel,

and William and Elizabeth were married at Wooton Underwood on 21 Dec 1788.

I wonder if this is correct??

Regards   Foz  :-* :-*

Hi Foz, according to my information William and Elizabeth didn't marry at Wotton Underwood.  The date you have is the last date the banns were called.

John King and Jane Hannal married on 10 Nov 1756.
